Hello, dear students! 11th May 2020 
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."
Mark Twain said that - basically, he said that if you travel, you know more and you are more open-minded to how other people live. Since we can't travel much these days, we can use our book to learn something about faraway places.
Mark Twain, avtor citata zgoraj, je rekel, da s potovanji širiš svoja obzorja o tem, kako živijo drugi ljudje. Ker danes ne moremo kaj prida potovati, se lahko iz našega učbenika kaj naučimo o znamenitostih v daljnih deželah.

TASK 1
Open your student's book on page 191 and open your notebooks. Write the title: SIGHTSEEING. Copy the table from exercise 1b and add one extra row. You will need it later.
TASK 2
Listen to the clip (below) and fill in the table. Use your e-book to check the answers - click on the first 
and then on 
Poslušaj posnetek in izpolni tabelo. Rešitve imaš v e-učbeniku - klikni na prvi "i" in nato na "Quick check".
TASK 3
Pick a country you are interested in. Then search for "famous monuments in <name of country>". For example, I googled "famous monuments in Scotland". Find a monument you like and fill in the last row of the table in your notebook with the information.
Izberi si državo, ki te zanima. Nato v spletni iskalnik napiši "famous monuments in <ime države>". Jaz sem na primer napisala "famous monuments in Scotland". Nato si izberi znamenitost, ki ti je všeč in z informacijami o njej izpolni zadnjo vrstico tabele v zvezku.
TASK 4
Turn to page 192 and solve exercise 3a in your notebook (my advice - do it like the picture below). I'm sure you already know some of them, but if there's one you don't recognize, look it up on the internet. Again, you can check your answers in the e-book.
Obrni na stran 192 in reši nalogo 3a v zvezek (moj nasvet - naredi tako, kot je na sliki spodaj). Prepričana sem, da nekatere znamenitosti iz naslednje naloge že poznate, če pa katerega ne, si pomagajte s spletom. Še enkrat - rešitve lahko preveriš tudi v e-učbeniku.
TASK 5
If you have some spare time, check out this video on one of the monuments mentioned in your book, the City of Petra. Click on
