KRATEK POVZETEK V SLOVENŠČINI

Danes bomo pogledali ogromno primerov modalnih glagolov v pravih, angleških besedilih na internetu.

NALOGA 1: Preleti besedila, ki jih najdeš na povezavah spodaj.

Ni ti treba brati vsake besede, samo preleti ga, da razumeš bistvo.

Vlada VB: Uporaba varnostnega pasu in izjeme (PRAVILA IN ZAKONI)

Vlada avstralske zvezne države Victoria, portal za mlade: Nasveti za učenje (NASVETI, DOBRE IDEJE)

Delta Airlines: Pogosto zastavljena vprašanja pri prtljagi (DOVOLJENJE, NASVETI)

NALOGA 2: Naredi si tabelo v zvezek (poglej sliko pod JOB #2 spodaj). Napiši naslov MODAL VERBS IN REAL TEXTS.

NALOGA 3: Poglej video*. Sledi navodilom in izpolni tabelo s čimveč primeri modalnih glagolov iz besedil.

Uporabi funkcijo "Išči na strani" v brskalniku (drži tipko CTRL in pritisni F), da boš prej našel glagole.

Prevedi jih kolikor jih lahko. Za pomoč imaš kvadratke Remember box v učbeniku od strani 141 do 145 ter slovar pons.si.

Bistvo naloge je, da razumeš, kako se obnašajo modalni glagoli. Če ne znaš prevesti vseh legalnih in tehničnih besed okrog njih, nič hudega.

*Ne ustraši se dolžine videa. Video je dolg, ker v bistvu z vami rešujem nalogo in vas vodim skozi besedilo.

Če razumeš nalogo in veš, kaj narediti že brez razlage, lahko nalogo kar začneš delati in pogledaš samo del videa, da vidiš, če delaš pravilno.

Je pa v videu kar nekaj dodatne razlage, tako da ti priporočam, da si ga vseeno pogledaš v celoti, če imaš čas.

I really want you to see some modal verbs in action in REAL texts from the internet.

I have three jobs for you today, nothing too crazy.

So here's

JOB #1: Skim through these three texts.

UK Government: Wearing a seatbelt and exemptions (RULES AND LAWS)

Victoria State Government: Study tips (ADVICE)

Delta Airlines: Baggage Frequently Asked Questions (PERMISSION, ADVICE)

SKIM means YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ EVERYTHING, just go through the text quickly to get the point.

JOB #2: In your notebook write the title MODAL VERBS IN REAL TEXTS, make a table that looks something like this:

JOB #3: Watch this video I made.* Follow my instructions and copy as many examples of modal verbs as you can from these texts.

USE THE FIND ON PAGE function (hold the CTRL key and press F) in your browser to make things faster.

Translate as many as you can. If you need help, use the Remember boxes from pages 141 to 145 in your book and pons.si.

The point is to understand what the modal verbs do. If you can't translate all the other legal and technical words, don't worry.

*The video is a bit long, but don't worry. I'm basically just walking you through the texts.

If you already know what to do or just want to check if you're doing the job correctly, you can watch only a part of the video.

There is some explanation in the video, though. I think it WOULD BE a good idea to watch it all if you have time.
